SAINT LAURENT (1990): THE VISIONARY HEART - A strictly limited edition piece produced during Yves Saint Laurent's lifetime, this is not the 2012 reissue. In the early 90's, the maestro had a flash of futuristic brilliance, he stripped away "Yves" and "Paris" to create the prophetic "SAINT LAURENT" signature - two whole decades before the rest of the world caught up. Owning this necklace means owning a piece of that transcendence. Only about 100 of these were ever made and it captures the exact moment the brand transitioned into the modern era. It's dark, romantic and a critical piece of fashion history. The Visionary Heart features a silky gunmetal finish (Canon de Fusil) patina that puts modern industrial lacers to shame; every smokey crystal and couture pearl is prong-set by hand, illuminating the deep red heart from within.
